Organic Brown & White Rice Flours - Gluten-Free
We use a combination of brown & white rice flours. Brown rice flour provides added fibre & nutrients, while white rice flour is easier for dogs to digest. Rice flours are very low in fat & are gentler on canine tummies than wheat flours.

Organic Chickpea (Besan) Flour - Gluten-Free
Chickpea's are high in protein & calcium, are a good source dietary fibre & low in fat. They also contain vitamins A, B-group, C, E, K, & iron, potassium & zinc.

Organic Free-Range Poultry
Chicken: is a low-fat source of protein that is easy to digest. We use the meat & bones make our stock.
Chicken Liver: is highly nutritious being rich in protein, selenium, folate, vitamin A and iron.

Organic Free-Range Meat
Lamb: animal protein contains all the essential amino acids lacking in most plant-based protein sources. We use the meat & bones are used to make our stocks.

Home-made Organic Stocks with No Added Salt
We only put 2 ingredients in our stock - fresh organic meat & fresh filtered water. Pure taste.

Organic Fruit & Vegetables
Tomatoes: are full of C & B-group vitamins, iron and potassium. They are also rich in lycopene and beta-carotene - powerful antioxidants.
Apples: a great source if vitamins, carbohydrates, dietary fibre & they are fat-free.

* Carob & yoghurt are the ONLY non-organic ingredients we use as we have been unable to locate a organic supplier. We are always on the lookout for an organic supplier of carob & yoghurt, if you know of any please email us.

Why don't you use wheat flour?
Firstly, some dogs have allergies to wheat & we wanted to make treats that could be enjoyed by all dogs!

Secondly, there are many schools of thought about what is & isn't good for your dog, but our conclusion is that most dogs eat too much wheat in their daily diet. Most commercial dog foods, both wet & dry, have wheat as a main ingredient, even premium brands. It is used as filler because it's cheap & readily available.

Too much of one thing isn't good for anyone, & as we say, variety is the spice of doggie life!

So we decided not to add to the daily wheat intake of dogs & use rice flour instead. Rice flour is easier to digest & tolerated by more dogs than wheat. We also add other less common gluten-free flours to expand the nutrient base.

Some dogs can't even tolerate rice, so for those special pups we are working on a rice & wheat-free cookie - email us if you'd like to know more about it.

Why do you use organic ingredients?
We feel organic food is superior in quality & taste, not to mention it's free from chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers, additives, antibiotics, steroids & other nasties that we wouldn't like to eat, so we don't think our dog (or your dog) should either.

Plus, we only use organic food that is grown in a sustainable & humane manner.
